This restaurant is exquisite! It's our 3 rd time dining and each time it has been awesome!!!!! The food has a great variety, all to perfection, and an excellent wine list. The chef's personally developed toppings and sauces you can choose from, for your fish or meat, make all the entrees unique!

This is a great little restaurant. I mean that in a literal way. The place has about 9-10 tables, but don't let that fool you. Both food and service are on point.

We began dinner with a couple cocktails which were really well done. For appetizers we got the French Onion Soup and a Caesar Salad. Both of them were really good. Our mains were the Prime Rib and the Trout Winslow which is stuffed with crab meat and topped with a barnaise sauce. The Prime Rib was an end cut...which is not my favorite but was still really good. Chef Edgar even made an off menu kids dish of chicken fingers for our daughter. Throughout dinner everyone working there stopped by to check on us...as they did with all tables. Chef Edgar went around and talked to everyone as well. Really made you feel at home.

Overall I highly recommend this place. Can't beat good food and service. Enjoy!!

I went to Winslows Hideaway to celebrate a friend's birthday a few days ago and I'm still dreaming about the fabulous food and excellent service!!! I cannot adequately convey in this review how wonderful it was. The atmosphere is perfection! One friend commented that it reminded her of a small French restaurant--cozy but stylish. The hostess is the son of the chef and he explained to us that the paintings on the wall were done by his grandmother. He also pointed out other family memorabilia and newspaper clippings. There is so much rich heritage and history in this little hideaway. Okay, now for the real star of the show--the meal! Everything was delicious!! The soup of the day was mushroom barley soup. It is a soup that the chef has been making for decades and it is phenomenal. My mouth is watering thinking about it right now!! We raved about the soup to the chef and he generously sent us home with a free container!! I had the steak and potatoes skins which were perfect and delicious. We finished the night with the key lime pie. Again, words fail me. This was the best key lime pie I have ever had in my life. I don't think I can ever eat key lime pie again because I will always be comparing Winslow's. Next time I'm in cashiers I am absolutely making a reservation here again. Thankyou for a great meal and memorable evening!

Fine dining in Cashiers like this is rare. A small restaurant with maybe 8 tables but a full bar. White tablecloths tuxed waiters and outstanding food. Good drinks. A nice wine list and bread--I always check out the bread-- was divine. Fresh, well prepared food and good service. A bit pricy. But worth it. Make your reservations early and enjoy.

Wow! What a great find. European inspired cooking with some New Orleans flavor. The signature barley and mushroom soup was very good as were the entrees. I had the special for the night which was a bone-in filet with a "shadow" sauce consisting of a mix of black and white garlic served with a petit lobster tail and shrimp. Everything had such great flavor. The sides are large enough for the table. The sauteed corn was very sweet and savory done with mushrooms. The hollandaise was amazing on the asparagus. The only bummer was no Crme Brule for dessert. That would have been a great ending to a great meal.
